Tomorrow is Mother’s Day. I got too busy these last few days that I forgot this special occasion. Sigh! I have nothing to give to my dear mother and to the other mothers here in our church. Last year, I was able to prepare something for them as a token. Now I have nothing tangible to give them waaaahhhh

I am thinking of giving them womens perfume because it is so odd to give them another mug. But I could not find one that will not wound my pocket too much if I bought in bulk.

I really feel sorry that I have nothing tangible to give them. But I’ll definitely pray for them as I pray for myself to be a better mother

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers in the world! Remember that tomorrow is not only our day but most specially it’s the Lord’s Day! So let us celebrate with the Lord

Sleepless nights are part and partial of being a mother (unless your child sleeps with their yayas). I guess most if not all mothers experienced having sleepless nights especially during the first few months of the baby. And I am one blessed momma with my eldest because she seldom woke up during the night when she was on this stage. I started experiencing sleepless nights when she acquired her asthma and that was before she turned one. I remember that almost every month there was a week that she was down with cough and cold which usually triggered her asthma. My sleepless nights with my eldest became less frequent when she reached her three years of age.

But with my second daughter, the story is quite different. Since she was born, I haven’t had an eight-hour continuous night sleep yet. As a matter of fact, I already knew her schedule. She usually wakes up at 12 midnight when I just started to doze off for feeding. She will again fall asleep after leaving her “natural bottle“. She will wake up again at three while I am in my deepest sleep. This time she would no longer drop off after her feeding time. She would remain awake and fussy until around five in the morning. By five in the morning, she would fall asleep again. When she wakes up at around 7, it is my hubby’s turn to take care of her while I continue my sleep for another hour.

Recently, there is a development. There are days that she no longer wakes up at 12 midnight. But she still wakes up at around three in the morning to feed. After feeding, she will no longer tarry but would immediately doze off. Though I still wake up to feed her, the window of me being awake is already small. I think that is a good sign that her body clock has started adjusting to the proper sleeping time.

Do I sound complaining? Honestly, I’m not. When I decided to be mother, I embraced all the hardships and joy of being a mom. I may have sleepless night for life but I will never regret my decision to have kids to nurture and to love. There maybe more and bigger sacrifices that I may be required to do in the future but even those will not be good enough to snatch from me the joy of being a mother.

courtesy of Google images

Do you have a credit card? If you do, you definitely know how to use it. You have to take it out from your wallet, hand it to the cashier or teller. The teller will then swipe it to a magnetic stripe reader and wait for the printed little paper to come out. That magnetic stripe reader reads all the credit card’s vital information like account number and its expiry date. But soon, credit cards no longer need to be swiped. You just need to wave it and presto, all the information will be emitted to the scanner. Because in the very near future, all credit cards’ stripes (some were already replaced) will be replaced with Radio Frequency Identification chips and these are the new generation credit cards.

RFID credit cards, as I said, could transmit the information without swiping the actual card. So expect for easier and faster credit card transaction. Unfortunately, these kinds of credit cards are also exposed to higher security risk. Imagine the credit card information is broadcasted? Anyone who has the machine which could read the information could easily intercept the information and use it fraudulently. That is scary, right? You can be robbed without even touching your wallet. This is called electronic pick pocketing. The easiest and cheapest way to protect RFID credit cards is to wrap them in foil {this is what my husband shared with me which according to him, he read from an online article}. But if you want to be sure, check the products of www.idstronghold.com. The site has a clearer explanation about RFID and identity theft.

Yay! Hubby has a new phone. It is an Alcatel One Touch Glory 918N. He got the phone almost free from Sun Cellular when he renewed his 350 UnliCall and UnliText Sun-to-Sun post paid plan. I say “almost” because there was a one-time payment of Php 500, otherwise the plan will be upgraded to Php 450.

Hubby was actually eyeing for Samsung Galaxy Y. This phone was included in the list of free phones for plan 350 last January. Unfortunately, the phone was not offered for early renewal and our plan just ended last April 17. But when hubby checked again with Sun Cellular last February, the phone was no longer offered for plan 350 UnliCall and Unlitext. The phone was already in the Php 450 phone line up. Hubby was disappointed. Instead of upgrading our plan, he decided to get the Samsung phone with dual sim when our plan expired.

When we visited the Sun Cellular business center to renew our plan, Hubby noticed the Alcatel One Touch Glory 918N among one of the phones in Php 450 plan but also available for Php 350 with Php 500 cash out. He immediately checked the specifications and compared it to Samsung Galaxy Y. When he realized that there is just little difference, he decided to avail the phone. The phone comes with free screen protector and 2GB memory card. So now, hubby has another time-waster gadget to play with.

When it comes to electronic peripheral that I used for my work I don’t mind spending a little. I opt to have items with quality though little expensive than totally cheap but easily give up. I also choose reliable brands to make sure that it won’t give any trouble when I used it.

The nature of my job requires me to talk to my clients via IM conferencing. So I invest on good quality headphones. It is very important that I get the instructions of my clients clearly so I won’t be wasting my time implementing something that is not what they want.

I solely used my headphone for conferencing since I am not used to listening to music while working. But my daughter also used it when she watches videos online. Most of the time, she is the one who break my headphones. At her age, she still needs to learn how to use things with care. The headphone that I bought last year is the longest headphone that we used in our house. I’ll probably need to buy a replacement in the near future because I can sense that the wire is about to give up.

Do you think it is practical for me to buy an ultrasone headphone?

Sex is the very way to procreate which is the commandment of God. Hence, it is good because God made all things good. Unfortunately, many if not all of the good things God made were abused by man including sex. Sex is not filthy nor sin if it is inside marriage. It should be enjoyed by the couple, a pastor relates. So even if the couple uses libido max for satisfaction or added enjoyment, it does not matter. As long as they both agree and most importantly, they are legally tied to each other through marriage. But for singles, there is no need for this supplement. I strongly advise that you stay away from it.

I made an accounting of my Sunday clothes and I found out that I only have 4 blouses and 2 descent skirts which I used alternately every Sunday. These are the only remaining sets which still fit on me. I am thinking if it is wise and practical to buy new sets at this time since my size might still change in the next couple of months.

I still have some Sunday dresses but I could not wear them for the time being. First, since I am breastfeeding, it is very inconvenient to breastfeed on dress. Second, I am too big to fit on my old Sunday dresses. Well, I am still <del datetime="2012-04-10T10:45:52+00:00">hoping</del> dreaming of gaining my old size so I am still keeping my old Sunday dresses. You probably thinking that my Sunday dresses are very expensive and elegant that is why I could not let them go. Actually, they are just rags compared to Vera Wang Wedding Dresses but I keep them still because I like their styles. Most of them were not ready to wear when bought. I looked for the design then bought an almost similar fabric and brought it to my dressmaker friend to tailor the dress for me.

So whether to buy new Sunday clothes or not is still a question. I’ll just probably look and buy the fabric again and let a dressmaker tailors the clothes for me.
