Mommy Momments – Haircut!

mommy moments

When my daughter was born, her hair is extremely thin so my husband and I decided to bald her after she turned one. Like any other new parent , my husband and I also want to treasure the firsts of my daughter. So even on her first hair cut, we want to get some memorabilia.

I heard from other moms that some salons are giving out sort of certificates for the first hair trim of the baby. My churchmate suggested a shop @ Trinoma thinking that the certificate and the hair cut will only cost 200+. But when we went there and asked for the package price, whoa! We were really surprised. It was 500+, too expensive for a hair cut. I was a bit hesitant but since we were already inside the shop, we just go for it and promised ourselves that we will no longer visit that shop again 😀

Anyway, here are the pictures we took before, during and after my daughter’s hair trim. I hope you enjoy them.

first hair cut
just before the start of the hair cutting session
the session started… my daughter was wondering what was being done with her hair
she was trying to recall if same thing happened to her before
she started to voice out her mild protest
..half-way done
…she was not happy with what was doing with her hair…
..she was trying to find out if there were some hair left
…she was given a small token for being behave during the session
… and this our reward for her… her first time to ride on a carousel.

  1. Wow… it is quite expensive but then, it looks like she had fun and enjoyed the haircut! 😀 thanks for joining!

  2. I love the way you captured her expressions and what a well-behaved girl. ; ) Thanks for dropping by my MM. Have a great weekend!

  3. I agree with Miriam. It’s a nice photo essay. At every turn, she changes her expression. Perhaps she felt tickled. 🙂 Cute!

  4. So has hair thickened a bit by now? I like the series of pictures. Haha. She’s cute and quite thinking hard what is it that’s being done to her.

  5. It’s a good thing she did not cry. My son cried the whole time his first haircut was being done. I hope we can exchange links, too. Thanks!

  6. sorry, I meant “love watching children observing…”

(internet and my vision are going funny in my corner)

  7. She’s a picture of curiosity! How sweet. I just watching children observing what’s going on around them, and it shows on their faces. Your daughter’s a cutie. Happy MM.

  8. It’s a nice photo essay. You were able to capture your baby’s facial expressions as she tried to understand what the lady hairstylist is doing to her hair.

What?! the haircut costs P500? That’s too much for a baby hair. You didn’t ask for a discount? Sayang naman.
