My Thanksgiving Contest Ends But A Thankful Heart Continues

This ends my Thanksgiving Contest πŸ™‚ I hope that everyone enjoyed it πŸ™‚ Again, want to extend my sincerest gratitude to all those who joined and supported this humble contest. My the Lord bless your kind hearts! I may not be able to pay back your kindness, but I pray that  the Lord who sees everything – including the deepest parts of our heart – will repay your kindness.

I don’t know who among you wondered why the announcement of winners is today, January 7. Many probably speculate that this date has some relevance to me. Probably some guessed that January 7 is my blogversary or our wedding anniversary perhaps, or probably my birthday. Those who guessed the last reason is right! You have a fallback when you get tired of your current job. You can be the next Madam Auring or Jojo errr, forgot the surname πŸ˜€

I am a very secretive and private person and I don’t usually squeal the date of my birth. Don’t ask me why because I can’t also give you a clear answer. While other people are proud about their bdays and I am exactly the opposite :D. I always hope that nobody will remember it! Perhaps I don’t want people slapping to my face that I am getting older. Yay! Or Probably I simply can’t handle the greetings of Happy Birthday hahaha… Kinda weird??!!! I have a lot more of that in my life which makes me a unique person hehehe…

As I end this contest, please allow me to share with the things the I thank God. I really chose this day because this mark the end of my nth year and the start of my nth year πŸ™‚ Don’t bother the exact number though πŸ˜€

I thank God for the life the He has given me. For creating me and saving my soul. I know that I am nothing but more than a filthy rag in His sight. But He is so gracious and His love is immeasurable that He reach out His hand to snatch me from eternal damnation. And the greatest love of all is not loving ourself, but the love of God towards man. Because He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, faultless and sinless, to die in my behalf – a sinful man.

I thank God for another year He added to my life. I thank Him for allowing me to practice more of the life that I will have someday in paradise with Him.

I thank Him for giving me a church that teaches His Word and a pastor who take cares of my spiritual being.

I thank Him for the sufficient provision. He is so faithful that He never fails to send us our need just in time.

I thank God for giving me a life partner who loves God more than me. A man who is imperfect just like me but willing to be used in His vineyard. A man full of flaws but has a teachable heart. A man who is not able to shower me with gifts and treats always on my side. A man who does not shower me with praises often but I can talk with on any topic under the sun.

I thank God for giving me a precious gift, my daughter. And because she is precious for us, we dedicated her life to the Lord. I thank God because He is working on my daughter’s asthma little by little. I am thankful because though my daughter still attacked by asthma, my daughter’s body is giving it a fight. It is a great blessing for us because she can now cope up with her illness. By God’s grace, we are praying that He will totally remove the asthma from her, but not our will but God’s will be done.

I thank God for a few real friends that I have. I thank God for giving me a space in this blogging world. I thank God for the new bloggers I met and befriended. Ahhh… I still have so many things to thank God for! But I am drawing you to boredom already.

And to end this post, allow me to give back all the glory and praise to the Almighty God who is the source of everything that I have and I don’t have in my life.

Blessings to us all!

  4. ALL praises to God for giving you life, and for letting me get to know you. You have truly inspired me, and you know, that optimism you have on life..it is simply contagious. As for your daughter, I can relate to her, because I grew up with asthma as well. I still have it, but it’s tolerable compared to when I was younger. I hope that she can overcome it. God’s will be done. I have gone through a very rough 2009, but blogging has somehow eased the hardship, and I’m still thankful for the many blessings that I received the past year. Sabi na nga ba 2010 will be better. It started off really well, and I believe God will still keep giving all of us blessings this year.. πŸ™‚
