Ouch!

That was the first word that came out of my lips when I accidentally cut wounded my finger while I was slicing my daughter’s apple. Thank God it was just shallow but still, the blood could not be easily stopped. If there is another thing that I don’t want to see aside from worm, it’s fresh blood. The wound may not cause of my death but the blood could draw my last breath! I couldn’t really stand to see fresh blood, whether it is coming from me or anyone else. This is also the reason why I didn’t take up a medicine related-course. I might die ahead of my patient when I see him/her bleeds, LOL!

I am talking about a minor wound which I get due carelessness. But how about the wound that Jesus bore in His body in my behalf and the blood that was shed on the cross for my sins.  Lord Jesus is faultless and sinless to deserve the wounded stripes on His body yet He didn’t utter any complain. Jesus died not only for me but also for you and for all the sinners of the world. He allowed this to happen not because He cannot stop it but because He loves us.  This is the only way that He can save us from eternal damnation; through the shedding of His blood. He asks nothing in return except for our admission that we are sinners and and we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. Is it too much for all His sacrifices?

Lord Jesus loves you and me and this is the only reason why He suffered and died. He is waiting for your decision. Will you allow Jesus’ death to be in vain in your life or will you do your part, and that is to accept Him as your personal Lord and Savior? The final decision is still up to you 😉

  1. Yes, that’s true, what Jesus did on the cross is great because of His love for us…
Our wound or suffering is not as big as His suffering, thanks for this reminder…

  2. yes that’s true, Jesus died to set us free. Our wound is not as big as what Jesus did for us on the cross…. Thanks for this reminder.
