[Updates] Daily Vacation Bible School

  • Sumo

Our church’s DVBS is just two weeks away. So aside from promoting and soliciting donation for the Back-To-School Project and I’m also preparing for our Daily Vacation Bible School. So far the materials for the lessons are ready. I have scanned the master copy and printed the visual aids in cardboard. Thanks to my L200 multifunction printer which this time cooperated so well.

The lesson is Jesus, My Saviour & Friend. The material was bought from Back To The Bible in Quezon City. It was published by Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF).  It was sent to me by  a friend from our mother church. The material includes the teaching-guide, visual aids, memory verse token and teaching token. It also includes a CD of the songs. I am so thankful that the material is almost complete.  I just need to reproduce it for the other teachers.

I also edited an invitation I downloaded from the internet to serve as invitations. I added a Gospel – tract in the local dialect for the kids. I used the Microsoft Publisher for the invitation format.

I have also designed and printed out the IDs for the students and for the teachers.

The teaching tokens and the memory verse are also ready. I photocopied the master copy using colored construction paper to make it more attractive to the the kids.

The awards are almost complete.  We only need to attach the ribbon to the card board – made medal

But there are still some tasks that I need to do when we come back from the camp. One of them is the design of the certificate. The teachers need to finish the Attendance charts for their classes. But I think the remaining tasks are only few and can be completed right after we return from the camp.

I am  praying for at least 50 kids as our attendance. I am also praying that this event will be a way to lead more kids to Christ. I hope that the kids who will join the event will grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and will remain in the church.
