First Bible Conference I Attended in Bohol

  • Sumo

We just arrived from a Bible Conference held in Gospel Light Baptist Church at Tagbilaran. It was a day-filled with spiritual blessings. The last message given by Pastor Mike of First Bible Church in New York this evening was really a blessing. It made me question myself if I am increasing more and more as a Christian. Am I? Do I love my Lord more than these (material possession, job, family, ministry, etc)? I really have to assess myself because being in the ministry does not mean that my relationship with my Lord is progressing. I might be in the ministry but my relationship with God is deteriorating.

The afternoon session was all about health. I learned so many things about proper diet and healthy lifestyle. The lecture was facilitated by Pastor Reuben Solapas. He shared about the 8 Pillars of Health. He also shared several testimonies about natural medicines like garlic, onion, ginger, coconut and many more. But he gave emphasis on fasting and prayer. I am challenged to try fast eating fasting ๐Ÿ˜€ but when that I don’t know yet ๐Ÿ˜€

One of the highlights of the conference was the distribution of English-Cebuano Parallel Bible. The Cebuano translation is based on the only Authorized Version, King James Version. May appreciation for this event cannot be compared to those who purely speak Cebuano. For them it was a milestone.

It was indeed a very blessed day but my nose bled because all the speaker saved one spoke in Visayan dialect and my husband sat too far from me. I can only understand so little of Cebuano so I really hope that I’ll learn this dialect fast! It was also a blessing to meet some pastors and pastors’ wife. Well I’m too blessed and happy to have time to do my research about rv insurance quote. That can probably wait until tomorrow.
