June 30 Is A Special Non-Working Holiday, July 2 Is Pasig Day

Malacañang declares June 30, Wednesday, as a special non-working holiday. Why? Because June 30 will be the inauguration of President-elect Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III. The inauguration will be held at the Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park (formerly Luneta) in Manila. This special holiday might be the last holiday declaration from the Arroyo government. Will the next president be fond of special holidays too? We will see.

July 2 will be a non-working holiday for employees who work in Pasig because July 2 is Pasig Day. How I wished that the inauguration of the 15th Philippine President fell on July 1 so I’ll have a two-consecutive day off from work :-p. Well, it is just a wish 😉
