During our company outing, I learned that if there are “whites” in the sea, the sea is not calm and those whites are actually waves from afar.
This verse is one of my favorites. When I don’t what to do next, I claim this verse, as if I am hearing my God saying “Be Still my child. I will take from here. Did you forget that I am God?” And it soothes my aching heart or my distress soul. It calms me and renews my spirit.
I also love the song/choir piece “Be Still And Know”. I tried to search for the lyrics, but I can’t find the right one. One of these days, I will try to dig my collection of our choir piece to share with you the lyrics.

That is beautiful verse. I have to keep remembering to be still and know that He is God!
I love this verse and have found lyrics to two of the songs I sing of the verse. The first one is Still by Reuben Morgan of Hillsongs in Sydney Australia and the other has been around for a long long time.
Thanks for the reminder.
I Will Be Still and Know You Are God
Hide me now, under Your wings.
Cover me within Your mighty hand.
Chorus:
When the oceans rise
and thunders roar.
I will soar with You, above the storm
Father You are king over the flood,
I will be still and know You are God.
Find rest my soul in Christ alone,
Know his power, in quiteness and trust.
When the oceans rise
and thunders roar.
I will soar with You, above the storm
Father You are king over the flood,
I will be still and know You are God.
Find rest my soul in Christ alone,
Know his power, in quiteness and trust.
When the oceans rise
and thunders roar.
I will soar with You, above the storm
Father You are king over the flood,
I will be still and know You are God.
When the oceans rise
and thunders roar.
I will soar with You, above the storm
Father You are king over the flood,
I will be still and know You are God.
and this one
Be still and know that I am God,
be still and know that I am God,
be still and know that I am God.
I am the Lord that healeth thee,
I am the Lord that healeth thee,
I am the Lord that healeth thee.
In thee, O Lord, I put my trust,
In thee, O Lord, I put my trust,
In thee, O Lord, I put my trust.
The is so beautiful and peaceful. Thank you ~
Oh my, this is my 3rd time reading this and I posted the same scripture! God is truly speaking a word to us all today.
BE STILL!!
Blessings to you this WFW♥
“Did you forget that I am God?” I love that! How easily we forget and try to do things on our own…then we lose our peace. Great post. Thanks for sharing. Blessings.
And may He be so exalted through me, if I could just learn to be still.
This verse keeps appearing today, not only in WFW, but in my daily devotions too. I think God might be speaking to me.
neat about the whites!
happy WFW!
This was my verse last week….so powerful!
Amen…beautiful scripture promise….
Oh, being still . . . so hard to do! Thanks for the reminder. May you have a beautiful WFW.
This is the second time that this verse popped up this morning…that usually SOMEONE is trying to get my attention! Thank you for sharing such a gorgeous image and verse…
Here’s to some ‘stillness’ before the Father today!

excellent verse. He also reminds me (often) to be still and know that He is God.
