Malacañang recently declared September 21, 2009 as National Holiday in celebration of Eid’l Fitr – Festival of Breaking Fast. This marks the end of Ramadan, the tough fasting observed in Muslim and Arab nations, and of course, by our our fellow Muslims countrymen. This holiday is supported by Republic Act 9177.  On the same day, the Philippines will be commemorating the the 37th year of  the Marshall Law declaration.  September 19 – 21 is another long-weekend for us.
Enjoy!
