I usually run errands in the afternoon, either after lunch or around 3pm to 4pm. But one time, I had to go out at 11am because I told the helper not to cook and I’ll just buy lunch instead. I was in a hurry since I had to pass by the drugstore, go to the bank and buy some grocery stuff before I could buy our lunch. The last errand was the drugstore. From the bank, I have to cross the road. The stop light was still red and even though I’m not sure if it’s about to turn green, I decided to cross. I was about to reach the other side of the road when it turned green. I didn’t see the motorbike coming and my arm got hit! I was so shocked that I wasn’t able to move. The driver stopped to say sorry and asked if I was hurt. I just said no and he ran away. My heart was pounding too much that I decided to take a cab going home even if the distance is just about one kilometer from our house.
When I got home, I told everyone what happened and they told me I should have gotten the driver’s name and the motorbike’s plate number. I told them I didn’t even see the guy’s face since he was wearing a full helmet. Hubby got mad at me for being careless and I admit that it was my fault for getting hit. I was just glad that nothing really bad happened.
