I don’t know how many Filipinos participated on the last Earth Day, but we did! I felt a little disappointed because when we went for a walked during the one-hour lights off, I noticed that only few families joined the event. Whether they don’t know the importance of the event, they don’t know the event or simply they just don’t care.
If all Filipinos joined the lights off, enormous amount of energy will be conserved. But many Filipinos simply don’t care. They only live for the current and never think of what will happen on the morrow.
Anyway, I was able to convinced my husband to take a photo of the candle light that we used during the lights off. It turned out that photo was really good. I decided to use the photo for my WFW entry on my other site :).
