When babies start to stand up on his/her own and walk, it is important to babyproof the home. Every aspects inside the house must be checked, every corner, every appliances must be considered as dangerous for the baby. One of the most important thing is the wires. To avoid getting electrocuted, wire covers must be placed along with plug covers. I know the house might not look presentable with all the things one have to do to make it babyproof, who cares? The safety of the baby is more important.
