The gang (me, hubby & daughter) went to Manila last week to attend our home church’s 41st anniversary. It was indeed a great blessing to hear God’s Word from the lips of old-timer pastors. Their personal experiences and testimonies are great examples of God’s greatness in a Christian life if God’s Word is being obeyed.
We arrived a day late. The celebration started on the eve of Wednesday, September 21 but the flight that we got was already for September 22. We were able to avail the Php 88 promo fare last February via Air Philippines Express. It only cost us Php 650 for the back and forth trip. Extremely cheap for three persons, right?
Rev. Fortu who is pastoring a church in Sariaya Quezon delivered a message about increasing account through giving while Rev. Manay who is pastoring a church in Las Piñas shared about “Let them not your good be evil spoken of” last Thursday and Friday night respectively . Both pastors are my pastor’s dear friends. The Sunday morning speaker was none other than Pastor Mar. He talked against idolatry and encouraged Christians to remain faithful to the Lord. He also gave an invitation for salvation. On Sunday night, the speaker was the previous pastor of the church, Pastor Festin, who is now pastoring a church in Mandaue City, Cebu. He delivered a message about Curiosity that lead to Zaccheus’ salvation.
The church anniversary was victorious, souls got saved and Christians were encouraged. And the Lord provided for the need of this great event 🙂
